POKOTABI / PLACES WORTH A DETOUR
ステージカフェ下北沢亭
Stage Cafe is a small theatre where the audience sits close to the stage. Here’s what to know about features such as the one-drink requirement during performances and the sloped seating.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At the front, the stage feels especially close, bringing performers’ expressions into clear view. Stage Cafe is a small theatre for plays, live music and other events, with the audience seated near the stage. The seats are also sloped, and some visitors have said that this makes it easier to take in the whole stage from further back. Choose a seat near the front for a closer view of the performers, or a little farther away to follow the action across the stage.
Visitors have reported that performances come with a one-drink requirement, with drinks collected from the counter to the left of the stage as seen from the audience. There are drink holders beneath the seats, so you can keep your drink close while watching. This is less a place to seek out for its food than a venue for settling in with a drink and focusing on an intimate performance.
Stage Cafe is on the 2 floor in Daizawa, Setagaya City. There is a restroom, but the entrance and parking are not wheelchair accessible.
